WHEN IS STEM DAY?
The event takes place at Georgia Piedmont Technical College, The Dekalb Campus, Conference Center, 495 North Indian Creek Drive, Clarkston, Georgia 30021 from 8:30am-noon.
WHAT IS STEM DAY?
STEM Day is a half-day program designed to introduce students to engineering through fun projects and activities. The event includes hands-on activities for kids that will expose them to engineering concepts in an interactive and engaging way (activities are led by engineering professionals, scientists, and STEM college students). There will also be a Resource Center for parents to learn more about STEM camps, programs, and other resources available to help them continue their child’s interest in STEM activities and education.
WHO: Students in 3rd -8th grades (2023-24 School Year) who are interested in STEM!
COST: $5 per person
Registration includes all event activities as well as snacks and drinks. Please register all members of your family who will be participating. All students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the event. This is NOT a drop-off event.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR ATTENDEES:
There will be directional signs on-site to direct you where to park.
Check-in starts at 8:30 a.m. After you park, follow the signs to check-in. You’ll be given a wristband that will allow you into the event and will be your ticket to get drinks or snacks from the Stack Station. The wristband is your ticket for the event and helps us with crowd control for the activities, so please wear it all day.
Once you check-in, you can grab a bag for all your goodies, make a name badge, and then head to the booths.
You can pick up a drink or snack using the tabs on your wristband from the Snack Station in the Conference Center Lobby at any time during the event. If you or your child has dietary restrictions, please feel free to bring your own snacks. Please be sure to clean up after yourselves.
Each student must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the event.
